The five questions
families ask before they call.
Honest answers, not marketing copy. If the question you have is not here, send it — we will reply in writing within one business day.

The questions we are asked most often before a first call. If your question is not here, ask it directly — the principal will answer it personally during the introduction.
01Will I lose my current CPA, attorney, or trustee?
No. We work alongside the professionals you already trust. Most engagements involve at least one quarterly call that includes your CPA or estate attorney so the plan stays in one piece across disciplines. If you would like introductions to vetted professionals in either field, we are happy to make them.
02Do you take custody of my assets?
Never. Your assets are held at independent custodians — Charles Schwab and Fidelity Institutional — in accounts in your own name. We are granted limited authority to advise and to trade. We cannot withdraw funds. You receive statements directly from the custodian.
03What happens if something happens to Rob?
The practice is built so the relationship outlives the principal. Continuity is held by a credentialed senior team — a CFA-charterholder director of research, a practice manager with three decades of experience, and a registered advisor on staff — and a written succession arrangement is in place. Your plan, your documents, and your service do not skip a beat.
04Can my children become clients?
Yes — and we encourage it. The next generation typically joins the practice at no incremental cost while a parent is a client. Most family plans include at least one annual meeting with adult children present, so the plan they will one day inherit is one they helped shape.
05How private is my information?
Your engagement is handled by the principal advisor and a small named team. Your file is not shared with third-party marketers, sub-advisors, or research firms. A non-disclosure agreement is offered prior to the introductory conversation on request, and your name does not appear in any client list, marketing material, or referral document without your written consent.
